General Policies & Procedures

• Celebration Healthy Kids receive two hours of Child Care services per day included in their membership. There is an additional fee for stays longer than two hours. For the comfort and health of your child(ren) stays of longer than two hours are not recommended. Maximum stay is three hours per day.

• If a child is having a difficult time, every effort will be made by the Child Care staff to calm and comfort the child. If all efforts fail, the parent will be notified.

• Parents are welcome to stay a few minutes to make sure their child is comfortable. The Child Care areas are not designed as a place where parents can watch their own children. The Child Care areas have a well qualified staff to watch your child while you work out or visit the doctors’ office.

• The Fitness Centre is under no obligation to accept a child if capacity has been reached in the Child Care areas. Walk-ins are not guaranteed.

• The Fitness Centre reserves the right to remove children who are perceived to pose a danger to themselves or others.

• Time-out will be used to address behavioral issues/problems.

• Children under the age of 13 are not to be left unsupervised in the facility. An adult must accompany them at all times.

• Children 12 and under must be actively engaged with parent when they are in the basketball court, and swimming pool. Children 12 and under are not allowed in the Therapy Pool. Any child 13 years and older may utilize the equipment on the Fitness floor only after they have been oriented by a Fitness Professional to use this equipment. No child under the age of 13 is allowed on the Fitness floor.

• We ask that those families with children under the age of 8 please use the Family Locker Rooms along both sides of the building. As a courtesy to other Members, we do not allow children of the opposite sex and/or under age 8 in the men’s and woman’s locker rooms. Your thoughtfulness regarding this policy will be appreciated.

Sign In / Sign Out Procedures

• Only parents and legal guardians 18 years and older are permitted to sign children into the Child Care areas.

• Parents and legal guardians sign-in the child(ren) and leave a valid membership card for the child(ren). Staff will place a yellow band on you and your child(ren). You must wear the band until you pick your child(ren) up from the Child Care areas.

• For the safety of your child(ren), the parents that signs the child(ren) in, MUST be the parent who signs the child(ren) out. No exceptions.

• Parents can sign out a pager at this time but must leave a photo ID until the pager is returned.

• Parents and legal guardians must remain on Celebration Health premises.

• Pick up your child(ren) on time. The Fitness Centre reserves the right to charge parents for repeated late pick ups.

Health Sanitation Issues

• Sick children are not permitted in the Child Care areas. If your child has an allergy, please bring a note from your doctor so we do not confuse allergy symptoms for those of a cold or flu.

• For the safety and health of your child(ren) please do not bring food or gum into the Child Care areas. Bottles, sippy cups, juice boxes, and water bottles are welcome.

• Pacifiers and comfort items such as blankets are permitted and must be labeled.

• Please label all bags, bottles, and pacifiers with your child’s name. The Fitness Centre is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

• Parents are responsible for changing their child’s diaper.

• Parents will be given a pager (in exchange for a photo ID) and notified if their child needs a diaper change.
